I bought BlackBerry 7100t(t-mobile) phone on eBay and took AIRTEL blackberry services. My Boss always use to tell me that typing mails and messages is very easy On a blackberry phone. I have used Nokia 7610, O2 XDA IIs(comes with a FULL keyboard), O2 XDA mini phones.
When I shifted from NOKIA(symbian OS) to O2 XDA IIs(WINDOWS OS), I was really happy as windows phone are really easy to use, just as your laptop or computer, but only one thing my XDA IIs was BIG and bulky and had a full keyboard, still I could not type fast on that phone. Playing games was fun as it has a BIG screen, it is still one of the best phones that I have used.
Coming to blackberry, when I started using it, first thing I liked was that my mails came as messages:-). Then I could fast really type and the keyboard and phone is intelligent enough to guess what I was about to type. Initially I had a problem, but it creates a custom word list and you have to use it for a couple of weeks and it will recognize whatever you write:-)
So no more stylus, no more typing like NOKIA phones. The only thing I missed were games and it does not have a camera. Although it has features like copy and paste and the user interface is really easy to use.
It is a good phone and I really liked it, basically it servers the purpose for what it is made. That is what blackberry concentrates on, they do not like to put everything on phone(like MP3 players, camera, music, etc etc), all they are concerned about is that people should get their mails anywhere they are and they should be able to type fast, and 7100 servers the purpose.
It is definity worth trying!
