With Ranveer Singh advertising for this compamy, you would have thought that this is a big legit company. Well I did too and suffered a lot. This is a story on how Quikr tried to con me. Quikr started a service called QuikrX from where one can buy unboxed phones at cheap rates. The phones will be in perfect new condition, with the only exception being that the seal of the box will be broken. This was told by the Quikr Call Centre guy and on their website. On 29-30 Sept 2015 my brother bought Nokia Lumia 1020 and I bought Oneplus One in the first week of Oct 2015 from there.
My brother's phone had defects on the screen, where black dots appeared. My phone was a totally defective rejected unit. First of all it was used because its white charger had become grey with dirt. Then it had immense heating issues, even after clicking 5-7 pics from the camera it used to become unbeareably hot. So, all the promises of QuikrX were fake and scam. But the problem does not end there. Using the 10 day return policy both of us applied for a refund. They said I'd get the money within 14-15 days which I didnt get. One months passed and I didnt get a dime, even after threatning them for legal actions. They always said that I'll get the money within the next 7-10 days. After much mental harassment and threatning and cursing and contacting their headquarters in Mumbai they finally gave my money back in December for the phone I bought in October. Even then they didnt return my brother's money, though they said he'll get it in the next week. 2015 passed and he didnt get it.
We now couldnt even file a case in Consumer Forum because it accept cases only from 3 months back. Even after Jan passed we didnt get it. Finally after filing a case in the court we got the money on 18th Feb 2016. This period was very mentally frustating for us. We are just college students and 20k is a big amount for us.
I JUST WANT TO TELL EVERYONE OUT THERE THAT PLEASE DO NOT FALL PREY TO THESE FRAUDSTERS AND EXPERIENCE WHAT I DID
