I work in the Quest UK office and I have to say it is the most dreadful of companies.I have never worked for a more unfriendly company in my life. They have no interest in the employees whatsoever. At the moment we are grappling with a contract which none of us is qualified to undertake. As we have never worked in this area before we are losing money hand over fist, this prompted the CEO to leave his Ivory office and waddle on over. On hearing that people were leaving due to stress and being unable to cope, his reply was " let them go, we can hire more people".
Well here's a newsflash bonehead - They're not out there. they have gone to other companies after hearing how bad quest is. we have just had a motivational meeting with a chief engineer on this contract, it's along the lines of stick and carrot. Stick- " succeed or you will be fired" and Carrot - "If you cannot cope let me know and you will be replaced. And then fired" Bullying and intimidation certainly seem to be the order of the day. A colleague who has returned from a bout of depression was taken into the Managing Directors office and verbally admonished for not being happy. He was not given the opportunity to put his reasoning across, he said he felt intimidated.
For crying out loud, you take someone with a history of depression, put them in a windowless office doing a job they don't understand with no back up, support or training, of course they're not going to be happy. Quest is a company that knows the cost of everything and the value of nothing, especially its employees. Keep away from it I implore you.
