Qyayamat is an insult to the intelligence of the audience. Does the director think that everybody in the country is a fool ?

This film tries to match Gadar and Border in PAKISTAN bashing . But it fails to reach those heights. But according to me, this patriotic fervour is the only saving grace of this film. Otherwise, it would have been impossible to sit through the 2.5 hours. This placates the extremists among the indians, and to placate the secular people, a few dialogues regarding the patriotism of Indian muslims is thrown in, just to be politically correct.

The dance sequences were ''good'' with all the 3 ladies, Isha Koppikar, Neha Dhupia and Riya Sen , dancing in skimpy dresses.

The performance of Ajay Devgan was ordinary, but Sanjay Kapoor and Arbaaz Khan as the terrorists Ali Rehmani and Abbas Rehmani, were superb.

Now think of all the incredible things the film showed. Terrorists are holding an island hostage . The Govt sends in commandos, with diving gear, but without a bullet proof vest. (I think this is incredible, but it may be that I am wrong ). All but two (those who had surviving girlfriends) are killed, one of whom is a scientist and the other was then out of his mind. But later, that guy alone kills everybody.

The terrorists install electronic signal jammers, but everybody went on making calls.

The terrorists had 7 missiles with a deadly virus targeting Mumbai. Why did they need hostages ?

The terrorists had given the govt 24 hours to consider their demands. In 4 hours, the commando team is ready and the young scientist has conducted experiments which proved that fire can destroy the virus. Then he goes with the commando team and within two hours they have reached the island and most of them are killed. Sunil Shetty, the head commando, was stabbed twice, was fired upon, but still survived and had enough strength to save the scientist.

The terrorists fired a missile ,without the virus, into Powai lake and the govt actually passes it off as an Indian missile test.

Riya Sen as the girlfriend of the scientist and one of the hostages, was atrocious. When she, the scientist and Ajay Devgan were in the tunnels in the island and she was continuously blabbering, I thought devgan should just kill her and move on.

The scientist, I guess the part was played by Ashish Choudhury, was pathetic. Like Sheetal ( Riya Sen ) says in the film, ''Be a man first.''

The list can go on and on.

Finally, the villains are killed and the hostages are rescued. As an icing on the cake , the Indian Air Force flies into Pakistani air space and destroys a pakistani ship and killed a high ranking ISI officer.

The film was .........
