We flew from DC to Karachi this month. Only reason I took this airline was it was flying close to my home in DC. That was a mistake as plane stops in Doha for 7 hours. Food was so terrible, stale and tasteless that I and my 3 daughters all got sick each time. Staff was just OK nothing that stood out. I heard two air hostesses arguing with each other. Cabin pressure was very unhealthy. One of the Indian pilots who was sitting with me as a passenger stated they have hired tons of inexperienced Indian pilots to save money just like everything else in Gulf Countries and abuse the pilots by working them very long hours. Entertainment center was great with 100s of new movies.
Ticket counters are a mess and they want you there 3 hours in advance which they will never tell you. We showed up two hours in advance like every other airline and end up missing our flight. I paid $700 to book next flight. I pleaded my case that it was your staff that made us late but the booking office which is not even at airport and 30 miles away did not care a bit and charged me anyway. 800 number does not work all the time and has no recording that they are close in Karachi on Sunday. I found that out the hard way by dialing the number to book next flight countless times which was never answered. I called airport counter and the guy said their office is open.
I went to him in person and he goes “Oh I guess they are close but you can try their office”. We drove 30 miles as I was trying to get the flight ASAP to their office on Sharae Faisal where a guard told me they are close on Sundays. This is the height of unprofessionalism. Too bad next year they will lose a customer like me who is going to buy 7 tickets. It was an absolute disappointment.
