*Last April(2007) was my first time on Qatar Airways from London to Mumbai and back.I normally use Jet but my agent highly recommend Qatar.i've seen their adverts on Sky News as well.so I gave it a shot though I didn't exactly fancy the idea of a stop-over at Doha of all places! I have to admit that I was suitably impressed with the Business Class service on the A330-200 aircraft. Pleasant staff, decent food, decent inflight entertainment - though I did miss the flat beds of Jet & BA. Qatar should look at flat beds in business given its rival Etihad is offering them.
The stop-over for some 2 hrs. at Doha airport was ok - the airport has no aerobridges though - the first/business terminal is pretty nice though I must admit I was not impressed with the internet speed or the choice of food in the lounge.
On my journey back to London from Doha we had the A340-600 aircraft, which is far better than the A330-200. Impeccable service though I don't know why the self-service bar area was dysfunctional.
In all, a good experience and definite value for money compared to other airlines.*
