One thing that goes with every ram gopal verma's film is the heroine..urmila matondkar of course. Its like an obsession with him I guess. But thats his problem? My question to him, is why give us such an insipid film? It is deemed as a thriller. Well, I was very THRILLED when the film was over.
The film revolves around 3 characters, 1) Jai, a fashion photographer 2) His wife and 3) Riya a model.
Jai played by Fardeen Khan looks more like he is sleep walking thro the movie. Occasionally he wakes up to woo his wife, and sometimes he is jarred awake by Urmila who comes on to him.
And oo la la..His wife feels uneasy having seen urmila lay her hands on her hubby married of long etc etc. And Urmila goes out of her way to get him.
She played an psychotic killer in an earlier fim by RGV too. And she just continues it here, but with a lot less conviction than in Kaun.
As for Fardeen, he doesnt have even 1 millionth of the charishma his father had. Sonali was wasted in this movie, is what I feel. After her brilliant performance in Mission Kashmir, this was a letdown. Fardeen's face is devoid of expressions - a la Bjorn Borg. His expression was constant throught...
Strangely all through this film, I had this Psychotic urge to strangle the director for putting us thro this. Alas, it was the Ram Gopal Verma banner that made me risk this movie. Guess its the last time.
Music was decent, nothing that you'd come out humming.
Argh!
