PYAAR DIWANA HOTA HAI
Starring: Rani Mukherjee,Govinda & Apoorva Agnihotri
Pyaar Diwana Hota Hai is a love story. A simple and uneducated village boy (Govinda) comes to Delhi city where he falls in love with a rich Indian girl from the USA. She mistakes him to be mute and her initial sympathy towards him changes into love. The boy is now too scared to tell her that he is not mute because he fears, she will not forgive him for speaking lies as she detests liars.
Ultimately, rather than lose her for his one lie, he cuts off his tongue and becomes mute by choice so that she can be his forever. The girl, on learning the whole truth, is impressed by his true love and forgives him for his lie. As for marriage, she had already decided to get married to him, believing him to be mute and so his actual muteness does not come in the way.
The film's music lives upto the title as there are a number of romantic numbers. The title track of Pyaar Deewana Hota Hai is by Udit Narayan and Kavita .Johny Lever evokes laughter whenever he comes on the screen
