There are films and there is the film. 'Pushpak', experimentation at its artistic best.
the film makers should have been really brave to make a movie like this but their bravery was aptly awarded in the form of an all time classic.
the film may have not been a blockbuster in the real sense but it was destined to reign supreme forever in the thinking class's film library.
its an ultimate fantasy for a middle class man. From my experiences I can tell u that every single person whom I know and who have seen this film wanted to be in kamal's place at the pushpak hotel and wanted to feel the bundles of cash how kamal felt it.
one more thing makes this film memorable to me. we were living in a chawl when I was a kid. by the end of schooling we moved on to high rise structure.
for the first 3 days I couldnt sleep at all ! it was so damn quiet in the new place. then I realised kamal's agony in the film and it was not funny at all, believe me.
but I wouldnt recommend viewing this film whilst u r eating something 'cos the thing that u r eating wont stay in ur stomach for too long.
all and all a classic and a must watch.
i wonder why so less reviews on this film.
it sure deserved more response.
