On 1st of Jan I made the grand mistake of placing an order for a perfume on purplle.com and made the bigger blunder of paying upfront for it. Firstly, the product was supposed to arrive within a week and after 2 weeks they couldn't locate where my product was but were adamant they had shipped it.
So when I asked for the order to be cancelled(it hadn't been delivered after 15 days), I assumed it would be done. Due to personal travels I didn't check the site until 13 days after I cancelled - i.e 28th Jan and until then no refund was received by me. To my utter shock the product page still listed my order as'In Process' - even though I'd made 4 phone calls on 16th Jan to ensure the order has indeed been cancelled.
When I reported this to purplle.com, they treated me as if I were lying asking for screenshots of the page saying "In Progress" and despite providing it immediately as of 4th Feb I am yet to recieve the money I so stupidly paid them upfront. Till today I have no proof they ever bothered to cancel the order(it still shows inprogress) and no proof they bothered to refund the money(no proof was ever provided despite asking multiple times)
Don't ever make the mistake of paying on this site. Its COD or nothing and even if its COD, inspect the packet before paying! This is one of the fraudulent sites which treat customers' money with contempt and if you make the mistake of paying upfront, forget about ever getting your money back! Its bad enough for me to consider filing an FIR against them to get my money back. Don't fall into the infernal con site that is purplle.com
