Friends, Make sure you never ever buy a HUL brand water purifier. I made the mistake of buying one and am struggling to get the germkit unit replaced, with no luck whatsoever. My unit is blinking red, which means its no longer purifying water - have made 4 calls over the last one week, and absolutely unable to get these guys to act. The first time, I got a service request number which HUL conveniently lost(they say the number does not exist). Subsequent requests have got me no responses either.
You should only expect to use the water purifier for the lifetime of the first preinstalled germkit(about 6 months or so) - after that you will end up disposing it off to the nearest junk dealer by weight. If you are in the market for a water purifier, I suggest looking at alternative brands out there - hopefully experience with those will be better. I am now looking to replace my unit with an alternate brand.
