The product comes cheap initially and looks good. However here is a catch. In the long run one ends spending a lot of money in maintaining the germ kit battery which needs to be replaced every few months.
Using Pureit actually turns out more expensive than the costs for the cooking gas. A cylinder refill costs around Rs 310 but a purit germkit refill costs Rs 400 (increased from earlier 360 recently). The average time for replacement of the cooking gas and pureit kit is roughly the same for same family size.
These pureit guys trick people in buying the product with its initial low price and then milk out profits by replacing germkits which are very expensive.
They based this product on the 'Locomotive Model' where the price of the product is low, but spares and maintenance very expensive.
