First of all, I would like to mention that I have started using Pureit since 2009. I really the liked the TV advertisement where dirty water was purified by the machine and happily drunk by the sales executive with a big smile. I knew that it was a HYPED one, but still I wanted to give this brand a Try, as my friends and neighbors were not that satisfied with other popular brands. So, I thought to purchase the basic version of Pureit. The style and look was not that gorgeous but it was OK and user friendly, not very complicated.
Honestly speaking, it gave us a good service in the first year, and customer service department was OK and the local guy was helpful every time I called him up for cleaning or battery changing. But, things seem to be not so bright, as I changed battery 4 times in a year and it really seemed to be a costly option even I compare it with other basic components of our daily life. Even after one year, I need to change the upper part of the machine and then after 6 months lower part of the machine was changed. Needless to say, battery changing was a daily procedure. Now, for a nuclear family of 2 young persons( me and my wife), myself stay outside from home at least for 12 hours, it was really a costly proposition. I invested hell lot of money to this machine. Yes, iron present in the area of our locality is the prime cause, but then we can hire mineral water service on rent and it costs me around rs. 500 only in a month and he is just a call away as I get the mineral water from near by grocery shop.
Yes, when people coming to my place and stay for longer time, this service is really costly, but again I am considering to try other brands this time, not pureit. They were really good in early days, but I buy an upgraded version of water purifier I am not going to buy a Pureit version anyway, better luck next time!
