I bought this product last year and initially I was impressed by its simplicity. With that state of elation, I gifted one to my friend too. Ours is a small family, so our usage was very minimal. I used to get calls often from PureIt Support people for any need to replace the battery kit(Because I bought 2 units from them). I got further elated.


I was wondering why battery replacement indicator was not giving indication for replacement. One fine morning it stopped filtering. But the battery indicator didn't show red. After a little bit of confusion, I removed the front cover to find that front glass panel doesn't show the indication properly. The unit turned fully red and I made a call to 'SO CALLED'HelpLine. I requested for a new battery kit on 15/09/2008. They said it would be delivered within three days.


I waited till 20/09/2008 and they have not delivered it. I was in doubt whether my basic arithmetic skills were wrong. I counted three from 15 and it happened to be 18. But even on 20th I haven't received. Even I discussed with my kid's primary teacher to know whether my skills are correct. She too said in affirmative.


With still lot of confusion, I called 'SO CALLED' HelpLine, again on 22/09/2008, to know whether I'm erring in my calculation. The person over there, having met so many people like me, was simply saying that, it would be delivered on 22/09/2008 by 4PM. Pity that he was not willing to discuss arithmetics. Then I decided, to wait for one more day.


It was Tuesday, 23/09/2008 10AM. Till then, they haven't delivered. So I made a call again. They said the same thing. I decided again to wait for another one more day.


24/09/20008 10AM: No Delivery. Call Help(less)Line. Sterotype responses.


25/09/2008 10AM: No delivery. Started routine process of calling. Same old commitments from the same old people in worst ever customer service. I asked him whether any manager is there in their company for the non-existing customer support department. He gave a number of Mr.Madhu.


I called Mr.Madhu and described him everything. He asked some time to check the status and said that he will call me back. With that same feeling of waiting, I kept waitng for few more minutes. After 30 minutes he called me and said that it would be delivered before 4PM. Same old response. But what I liked in that discussion was, he said my arithmetics were not wrong.


Oh No! Next day has dawned and it was not yet delivered.


Today is 26th of September. I called Mr.Madhu. I know he is not a fool. So he hasn't picked up my call.


Why should we always thing bad about someone? There can be someother circumstances. Let's think optimistic. So, I kept on calling till 11:30AM(Started at 10AM). Yesterday, he talked with me and was responding to my questions. So he was not deaf yesterday. Has something happened to him in the mean time? I was worried about his hearing ability. Or some other or any other thing has happened?


I called again to Help(less)Line. Mr.Naren came on line and I asked him whether some unwanted things have happened to Mr.Madhu. He said that Mr.Madhu is in good hearing condition and is also responding to his personal telephone calls. I'm an atheist. But I said, "Thank God. Mr.Madhu can hear."


Ok let us leave that matter. What about delivery of battery kit?. I asked Mr.Naren. He is working in HLL(or Hindustan UniLever). So he is well trained to keep saying the same thing. "It will be delivered soon".


People in 'SO CALLED' HelpLine will keep saying, keep saying and keep on saying.


PureIt Buyers, will keep waiting, keep waiting and keep on waiting.
