True colors comes out of all so-called corporate companies only when we are having trouble with the product! The PureIT Ultima which we purchased 10 months back, and still under warranty started giving one trouble after other including but not limited to loud noise(partially fixed now), bad taste.
Couple of months when we tested the TDS, it is between 140-150 PPM, which is way high and voids the very purpose of RO, where as the other local system we have provide less than 45 PPM with the same water. When complained about the issue, service person mentioned that Membrane(expensive of all) is to be replaced and to our surprise and shock we came to know it is not covered under warranty!
So called good support now started turning stale, nauseating and pathetic as they refused even to register a complaint and provide ticket number(they promise that it will be sent through an SMS, which we never received for any complaint after this TDS issue).
Local service personnel now never pickup the call and never turning up as well. So many calls to customer service is also being ignored. In addition, the customer service when contacted refuse to listen to the issue we face instead repeatedly trying to sell the GKK, which is almost 20% of the cost. What is the meaning of replacing a GKK, which has nothing to do with TDS. We are very much disappointed mainly with the behavior of the Hindustan Lever customer support and its silly policies like excluding membrane from warranty when it the core of the system.
Their warranty is like buying a car with warranty which excludes engine, brakes, rubber, plastic, glass. then what else the warranty covers? It is not the product and price, but it is more of cunning behavior and policies of such so-called bigger companies appearing in disguise is hurting! Very disappointing and nauseating as well!

We bought this a year back from an online store for around 15K INR. Now it is nearly a year with this water filter. Service of PureIT is good, toll free number, centralized service support, prompt responses all makes it a good support.
As a product, it is attractively designed, compact, blends with interiors nicely, intuitive lighting, nice dash like indicators showing various parameters like water inlet supply, input TDS, output TDS, Germ kill kit(GKK) level and toll free number as well. All these are great but when coming to the ground reality, output flow of this unit controlled electronically, in case of power cut there is no way to get water out of this unit. water flow is pretty pretty slow, you have to stand begging with this unit for a glass of water as it take really a while to fill even a glass. Taste of water is not that good, though hard to explain but sure restricts us from drinking more water. After few months it started giving a very loud noise and on complaint the support team replaced a defective part and now it is working fine. Spare supply is kind of taking a long time and wait time is in terms of weeks, which PureIt can sure focus and improve.
One great disappointment with this device is its output TDS which is way high to 140, while the local unit which we use for cooking purpose is giving output at 35 with the input of 600 from bore-well. Cost of this local unit is 20% of PureIT, output is pretty fast and can fill water even in vessels for cooking in few minutes. In fact we started using this local unit for our drinking purpose as well and PureIT is very sparingly used. In spite of very sparing use of very few litre per month, the GKK, which is a consumable is almost gone and requires replacement. On enquiring, the cost of replacement of GKK along with other items comes to the cost of almost a new local water purifier.
PureIT has a good customer support system, if it focus on some of the above issues including price, maintenance cost sure can make this purifier a good product!
