I have had a really hard time finding the right water purifier, since I am living in Bangalore where borewells are the only source of water. I was using Aqua guard some model (7000rs), which worked on electricity. Anyways it stopped working from 2 weeks of purchase, and the water was not drinkable.
I got completely frustrated with the service from Eureka forbes.Never in my life would I go for any of their products. I just threw my aqua guard along with garbage. So I had to research a lot before I made the final decision.
I was on the lookout for an RO purifier with UV as well. Kent and Hindustan lever were 2 which I was interested in.
Now Kent might be a good brand, but I did not like the all naked design of the product.And more over the overall water holding capacity of Kent was much less compared to Pure IT.
A lot of points are needed to be considered to understand what type of water purifier is needed in the place you reside. If the water is not so hard and turbid, then you wont probably need an RO. But make sure that you at least go a UV model, since this is bare minimum standard nowadays.
RO's are expensive, and will need constant change of the germ kill kit(as they call) maybe 1 or 2 in a year based on the quality of water in your area.
After considering my budget(15K), I went ahead with Pure IT, which is an RO with 5 stage purifying system, well covered design, suiting my style, a whopping 9 ltr water holding capacity.
The technical guy came up and installed it for us the very next day. I was kinda surprised at the quick installation. There was no problems whatsoever with the water, and we were quite satisfied.
About 1 month after installation, we encountered a problem. There was a problem with the water not getting filled up. Lodged a complaint, and voila, with 1 day, the guy was in my house. Rectified it and went off. But he did tell me that I need to purchase a pressure pump for pushing water inside the purifier, since the water pressure was low. I did not install any water pressure stuff. But now its working well.
Again had an issue with the product. But what I have to highlight here is the speed with which they send their technicians. I believe no other water purifier companies can match them. Good going Hindustan lever. Happy with your product. May you have many more customers, and uphold your services to all your customers.
