I have been using Pureit Classic 14 L Water Purifier for last two years but now I am thinking of changing with a new brand for several reasons. I'm not saying that everything associated it is bad. First, I'm going to mention some of its positive aspects:
Water tastes good and chlorine-free smell.
Easy to use.
But the worst aspect of it is complex mechanism that makes it difficult to clean its several parts. If you don't clean them regularly, it'll stop working. It consists of three parts: carbon trap that removes parasites and pesticides, germkill processor that eliminates invisible bacteria and viruses and the polisher that absorbs all harmful metal and chemical and makes water crystal clear. But what frustrates you most is the carbon trap which usually stop working first even long before the germkill indicator turns red. Though I wash it regularly with the tool given with it, it stops working before the due date. So I have to purchase a new carbon trap. But here lies the tragedy. You cannot buy the carbon trap alone. You have to buy the whole kit comprising carbon trap, germkill processor and polisher. The price of the kit, I think, is too much for middle class buyer. I request the Pureit authority to sell them separately for convenience of the consumers. However, I know they will not change their mind. So I have to change mine to move.
