Updated: Added the name of the restaurant in the title. Thanks to the commenter, who pointed this out.

We were looking for a place to eat good punjabi food and having seen some hoardings, decided to have dinner there. I will give you the facts and you will agree that it was a bad choice.

Location: It is located in a prime spot - Rd no 12, Banjara Hills. While driving from Punjagutta, it is much before Ohri's Banjara, on the left side of the road.

Valet Parking: It seems there are only one or two drivers and no service desk. I was wondering where to park and after 10 minutes, a driver came to take the keys.

Ambience: The ambience and decor is decent, with low-lights and silver-looking cutlery. The Menu card is a heavy wooden slate which is quite heavy to hold! The spacing betwene the tables is very less, with almost no privacy unless you SMS each other.

Menu and Food: The menu is severly limited, with non-standard names for common dishes. Starters and main dishes put together(for the vegtarian section), was about 15-20 dishes. The prices are sky-high and simply ridiculous. A bottle of ordinary Aquafina mineral water costs Rs. 70! There is no dish less than Rs 150. Raita is Rs 125. It would have been ok if the food was great, but alas, it was not. The rotis were generous sized, but almost cold. The palak mala kofta had just two small panneer pieces in it. The yoghurt for the raita was a little sour!

A small meal(not filling) for 2 adults and 1 child cost us nearly 1000 bucks.

Service:Service charges of 10% were added to the bill, but there was no great service to talk about. The waiter could not offer any suggestions(just answered if the dish was spicy or not, huh), nor were they very attentive. Only good thing was they were not "selling", which is a common and irritating practice, even in star-rated hotels.

The final touch was "the saunf"(mouth freshener). It was not offered with the bill, but it was placed at the reception desk!

We decided, "Never Again."
