I find internet banking useful and convenient. So when PNB said that transactions could happen on the web - I applied (have been banking at PNB now for ages). Applied on an application form. Submitted. To this date I have not been able to use internet banking of PNB because they have not sent me a password. Since the bank (Anushaktinagara, Mumbai) is very close to my house - I made it a point to visit every other Saturday (my day off) and check with them .. every time the gentleman in chagre of the internet banking would send a mail to (not sure who) and say that I would get the passowrd in post - this never happened ...
I can not blame the chap in the branch; he did send email in front of me (he showed me my user-id too!). Now I have lost enthusiasm (uhmm.. may be I am not sure what I could do) to go and ask for what happened to my internet banking userid/password. Probably, for old clients PNB still want them to come to the bank (not bad for me since the bank is just throws away from my house!)
