Punjab mail is one of the oldest trains running on the central railway. I remember since my childhood we used to travel in this train while going to our native place from Mumbai.
But since the past few years this train has become a mess. While going from Mumbai to Jhansi it is absolutely fine but while coming back it is absolutely worthless.
The problem starts as we reach towards Mumbai. The train is usually late by around 2 to 3 hours. Its arrival time in Kalyan is 6:35 Am but it always reaches by 9 or 9:30 am. The cleanliness and other things are fine but the time taken is huge. They have turned this good train into a mockery. They do not give this train any priority. The pantry on this train is not upto the mark and the food is very bad in taste and quality.
