Introduction
I have started listening to rock music since the last 7-8 months. (Which is very very late for someone who has finished engineering in 1997). I was(and still am) a hardcore Guns N Roses Fan but that was the only rock band I listened to. One of my very close friend introduced me to rock and Pink Floyd ? who in any rock fan?s world are the BAAP of all ROCK BANDS. Now I have a small issue. I do not like live songs. I prefer to listen to songs in their original uncut versions. So I was very very surprised when my friend, Subbu, gave me a twin CD pack as a gift. I was surprised because he gifted me pulse which is a live act and he knows I don?t like to listen to live songs. He told me that my whole perception of live songs will change after pulse. He proved to be right.
Songs
This is a special twin CD pack of the pulse concert. While the first CD has all the songs played in the very famous Pulse concert (which took place in mid 1994 across various countries) the second CD is the entire album of the Dark Side of the moon. It also won the group their only Grammy Award for the year 1994 for the Best Rock Instrumental Performance. This album is far by the largest selling live album in the history of music world.
The first song of the album in CD 1 is Shine on you crazy diamond which is a good 13 minutes and 35 seconds of pulsating music. It has about 6 minutes of superb guitar by David Gilmour and then the actual songs.
All the songs in both the CDs are absolutely superb. This is one album which will even make first time listeners of rock music and pink floyd at that, hardcore rock fans. I wrote the CDs for my Girlfriend?s sister. She had never listened to any Pink Floyd (Which is rather surprising as she is an engineering student). After she listened to the songs, she was on cloud nine. She even joined an online community of Pink Floyd Fans. I will not go in to the indepth of all songs as then the review will fill up atleast 35-40 pages. I will list down all the songs. It is also very very sad that Roger Waters (the song writer) had to part from the group and that too in a very sad way. Roger water had sued the rest of the band after parting that they could not use the Pink Floyd name in the group. He lost the case.

Conclusion
This is a must buy for all Pink Floyd fans and also a must buy who likes listening to good English Songs. I got the twin CD pack as a present and I am more eager to buy the live video version which is even more mind boggling then the audio version. Please let me know if anyone of you has the video version of the album on a CD.
