As the book name says primer, this book is good for beginners.If we already encounter the java language before, the book seems to be little bore.It just explains basic oop concepts.It helps only to clear some university examinations.It just provides basic knowledge about the language.
The concepts in the book are oop concepts, java evolution, variables, constants, datatypes, statements, array, strings, inheritances, packages, threads, applets, graphics programming, exceptions, error handling, etc.If you want learn advanced java, there is nothing because the book is only for java starters. Author wrote the bookkeeping beginners in his mind.This book just builds basics.To learn android we need knowledge of both core and advanced java knowledge, then this book never suit for such instances.
The book is very recommendable for beginners.The book is worth for its price.simple terminology.easy to understand.good examples and demo programs.useful for clearing our sem java exam.helpful for basic company interviews.
