I'v watched the Infomercials for the Proactive Solution for a very long time. I really started to believe that it really worked. When my face started to break out, I knew it wouldn't get any better unless I did something about it. My mom bought Proactive for my brother. He is 22 years of age and had a horrible problem with acne on his back. He was embarrased to take his shirt off in public. He started to use it and it worked quite well for him. It didn't clear all the acne on his back, since he didn't use it everyday because it was hard for him to wash his back like that and took a long time. Since they send you a new package every 2 months, he gave the second one to me (he wasn't even half way through the first one).
Thats when I started to see the difference Proactive gets to the core of acne. You may not see results right away but that it because of the way it is made to work. Acne starts deep in your pores, 2 - 3 weeks before you see it on the surface of your face, Proactive goes down deep to prevent the future breakouts. There are three basic steps in the Proactive Treatment:
Renewing Cleanser (4 FL. OZ. 120 mL) - gently exfoliates your pores and allows the Benzoyl Peroxide to penetrate.
Revitalizing Toner (4 FL. OZ. 120 mL) - helps unclog your pores, remove dead skin cells, and fade brown spots.
Repairing Lotion (2 FL. OZ. 60 mL) - Benzoyl Peroxide penetraits deep into your pores to attack acne-causing bacteria at the source.
I use Proactive every night before I go to sleep. It says that it should be used twice each day (morning and night), but I find that my skin is too sensitive for that. It takes 5 minutes or less to do all three steps. The first 2 steps are very refreshing but I find that the Repairing Lotion feels slightly oily and doesn't moisturize my skin very well. It also makes the sensitive skin under my eyes go red and it burns for around 1 minute. Other than that it works and I think this is a great product and I'd recommend it to anyone with acne problems.
