This book holds the veiled world which is hard for the rest of us to see. Through this true story everything becomes much clearer, assumptions are confirmed and others are disproved. The author has done a wonderful job in portraying and combining fragments of related stories of saudi women who are deprived of such "western" freedom, so to speak. The 'battle' here isn't just between what is morally right and wrong but also within these women themselves. <Mind against heart > ties it all up. One or few women with fiery hope for their rights against the rest of the country is a hard task. Consequences should also be taken in consideration. And so, this continous conflict is conveyed with the utmost sincerity and clarity that we readers are horrified, astonished and awed at the treatment towards women and women's courage to stand up for their rights despite everything.it is touching, real and powerful.
