Poor Quality Prestige Pressure Pan

The quality of TTK Prestige products appears to be declining in direct proportion to increase in their market share . We have been using both Hawkins pressure cookers and Prestige pressure cookers and pressure pans in our house. In our experience Hawkings pressure cookers are much better in quality. Seldom one needs to change the gasket, which is a constant source of irritation in all Prestige pressure cookers.

The only problem is they don't have pressure pans. So people who need a smaller vessel are forced to go in for Prestige pressure pans. Within days of buying the Prestige Pressure  Pan Junior Deluxe model, the handle became loose. Every other day we need to tighten it. It looks like they have reduced the weight of the vessel also to reduce the cost and thereby increase the profit for the company. The valve system they have introduced is also not user friendly. The rubber washers need to be replaced frequently. Now you have to run around for gaskets as well as washers. Good luck!
