Don't Buy Prestige Stoves. Review on Prestige Gas Stove

We bought a 4 burner gas cook top with one triple ring burner made by TTK Prestige. The hype generated around the product was very high: high quality, matte finish with sophisticated looks, Italian burner and so on. It was also the costliest product in that range. But just 2 days after the purchase, the stove started giving trouble. The triple ring burner refused to light. The service guy came a week after we had called, cleaned the nozzles and left. It worked fine for one day. The next day it was the same old story.

The burner quality was so poor that metal powder from the burner falls on the nozzle and clogs it.(This was discovered by us and not by the service guy). When we complained to the dealer, he said he would send a senior mechanic to check the stove. The same guy who had come earlier landed again and did the same things. I got fed up and wrote four emails to the company though their website. The Co. did not even bother to acknowledge the message, let alone do something about it. Then I wrote a letter to their MD at Bangalore and sent by courier. Again no acknowledgment nor any response.

The burner is not the only problem with this stove. The vessel holders(iron stand on which you place the vessel on the stove)are poorly designed that they are wobbly. We are afraid the vessel may topple down spilling the hot contents on the person cooking. The stand is not designed for holding Indian vessels like the Kadai because the vessel is in some place and the flame goes somewhere else. TTK Prestige is not worthy of your business. 4 burner stoves are available for half the price I had paid for this stove. Don't buy, ever!
