Last Dhanteras(2014), with a view to change our age old LPG gas stove, me and my wife decided to go for Prestige Designer Glass Top series gas stove(Prestige Premia Gas Table GTS 02(D). Well, it was a disastrous decision. The 5, 200/- odd rupees spent on this piece of "German Excellence" has simply gone down the sink. From day one, the flame in the Larger burner is lower than the smaller burner. We are unable to cook properly using this burner. After many visits to the Prestige Smart Kitchen in Deoghar, no positive response, only false promises and repeated emphasis that the product cant be faulty. . After a little hot talk, somebody came from Dhanbad to attend tot the problem. This guy from Dhanbad comes to Deoghar every ten or fifteen days, as informed by Prestige Smart kitchen shop. He has informed that this particular model had this problem that sometimes pasting blocks the nozzle, and he tried his level best to clean it, but to no avail. then he blamed it on regulator, and went away. next day I purchased a brand new regulator and situation is still the same. I informed the shop and they simply didn't want to own up the problem.


They gave a number of Dhanbad saying that it is their helpline number and I have to call them in case of problem with the stove. This guy on help line number does not know ABC of customer care, doesn't even know how to talk to customer. Fine, I just wanted a solution, but he asks me whether I have logged complaint in helpline number? Now who can answer that question? Anyway, in the meantime another guy turns up, again from Dhanbad, and declares that everything is fine with the stove, ignoring the fact that we are not able to cook properly using that burner. I told him that the flame is not enough, I want more flame, what I have to do? he suggests to change the nozzle. Fine- I told him- do that. he replied that I have to bring it from(guess where) Dhanbad. With a sigh I requested him that next time whenever he comes to Deoghar, please bring a nozzle and replace it so that this Rs 5, 200/ piece of German Excellence can be of some use. I rang again to their Dhanbad number. They promised me that it will be done this Friday positive(01/05/2015) But nobody has come so far and I am sure that nobody will ever come.


Now to summarise my point, I humbly submit that-




  1. Prestige Smart Kitchen is so smart that they can sell any piece of crap to the customers.




  2. In case of any problem, they simply don't own up the problem, while their website tell a different kind of story.




  3. Their response time to attend any problem is way beyond the definition of poor.




  4. Their servicing guys have all sorts of stories to fool you. Probable they are trained in Germany where people cook in low flames only.






5.even after six month my problem has not been sorted out. I had to buy different stove and I am stuck with this 5, 200/ worth of German Excellence"


Moral of the Story:


"Never Ever buy a Prestige Gas Stove, German Excellence or whatever"


My Verdict:


I WILL NEVER EVER TOUCH ANY PRESTIGE PRODUCT WITH A BARGE POLE. PERIOD.
