As far as the prepaid and postpaid schemes are concerned, prepaid surely takes the cake !!
This is true in Mumbai and I am sure so is it in other places !
Why is prepaid better ?
Simple,
It is far more affordable
More value for money
No Billing hassels
Anytime, anywhere refills
Call cost control
To start off, lets compare Orange Pre with Orange Post :
Prepaid Postpaid (Talk349)
Rent 150 350
Airtime Rates 1.3 / 30sec 2 / 60sec
CLIP Charges Free 75
This clearly indicates that prepaid is more cost effective!
Why should one pay such huge rent ?...the airtime rate is marginally lower in postpai....but for a 30 sec call, pospaid is still costly !
And the CLIP charges is absurd !
The only person who might need postpaid is a heavy user !
A postpaid customer pays atleast 275 more than a prepaid customer on account of higher rent and CLIP charges ( not to mention the higher airtime chgs due to the 1 min pulse rate )
This too on plan349, where rent is 350, on other plans like plan 499/599/699 one would have to pay rent of 500/600/700 !!!!!!!!
Now that prepaid is clearly the winner, lets us see which company gives you the best deal in the prepaid segment.
Before I start on this, let me tell you that Orange/BPL/Airtel are just different names of diff companies. But the difference between them ends there !
Their tariffs are absolutely identical, so there is no point in considering a comparision between them !
The real distiction lies between these pvt cos and MTNL's prepaid scheme called 'Trump'!
Trump is truly a poorman's mobile !!!
It far surpasses Orange/BPL/Airtel as far as cost is concerned !
One might even say that Trump is 'Revolutionary'
Now, what is the reason for such praises for Trump ?
Well, after going through the comparision, you would tend to agree with me !
Prepaid comparision (Refill 315) :
Trump Orange/BPL/Airtel
Airtime Charges 0.80 / 30sec 1.30 / 30 sec
Rent ZERO 150 / Refill
Validity Period 45 days 30 days
Now this is fantastic !
Just look how cool are the Trump rates !
there is a HUGE difference in the airtime chgs !!
A big diff on rent....zero on Trump...i.e. 100% value for money !
And ofcource the validity is 45 as compared to 30, which means u do not have to refill every 30 days, insted only after 45 days in case ur balance remains !
As far as signal strength on the network of Trump is concerned, it is pretty fine !
I personally never encountered any problems !
As a person who has migrated from Orange to MTNl Trump, I am a very satisfied person !
Now I utilise the same Rs. 300 much more efficiently and effectively !
Why should I pay more to Orange now ??
Definately not for the ads they have !
