In my view point a good college is not that one which provides good education and gets good results or wins sports trophies. But good college is also one which gives ethical knowledge to the students. And from that point this college is absolutely not very good. I came across this recent article and it broke my beliefs about this college being good. This is the article -

An MMS scandal, involving nude photographs of a 22-year-old woman, has put a reputed family of Ahmedabad in jeopardy.

Riya Mehta (name changed) got engaged recently but her nude pictures, clicked by her former boyfriend and circulated around, are damaging her marriage prospects. The family is now requesting all acquaintances and Riya's friends to cooperate and delete her pictures from their mobiles and computers to ensure that her engagement and forthcoming marriage go off smoothly.

Nude photographs of Riya, who belongs to a reputed Ahmedabad-based family and studies medicine at Pramukh Swami Medical College in Karamsad, were circulated to all the students of the college by her boyfriend gone awry. Her 22year-old boyfriend Alok Shukla (name changed) did this to avenge the break up of their two-year relationship. The photographs were taken some time in 2004 through Shukla's mobile phone during their private moments, when their affair was at the peak.

Interestingly, Riya posed for these pictures and helped her boyfriend shoot a series.

Later, once their relationship fell apart, Shukla circulated the photographs either as MMS or email among the fellow students. For Shukla, who was then in the final year of MBBS, there could not have been a better way to avenge a heart break and teach her a ''lesson'' for getting out of the relationship after two years of courtship.

Riya realised what had been done to her only later. She could feel unwelcome moves and intimidating stares whenever she moved around the college campus. She also started receiving a spate of blank phone calls after her snaps, at least three of them, were forwarded to one and all in the college.

Riya withdrew into a shell and did not dare lodge any official compliant against Shukla. As for the family, students of the college believe, fear of losing their face in the society, restrained them from lodging any official complaint.

It was only when Riya was due to get engaged sometime back that her cousin came hunting for her photographs. ''He approached every guy in the college whom Riya's friends believed that Shukla could have sent those clips and literally begged that they delete the files from their computers and mobiles,'' a student informed this correspondent. Both Riya and Shukla are presently pursuing their MBBS internship in the same college.

The authorities pleaded ignorance about the issue. Dean of the college Dr H.H. Agravat had no clue of the matter until informed by this correspondent but asked for details of the students so that appropriate disciplinary action could be taken against them. ''If a formal complaint is made to the college authorities, we will expel the boy,'' he said.

Where are we moving? First it was DPS and now it is the scandal of this college. I think since students are very immature so, the license of such schools and college should be banned. Then only they will take care that such things are avoided in their college.
