I recently visited Prakruti Resort located in Kashid for 2 days. Mind you all that this review is purely about the resort and not abt Kashid as a tourist destination. The perspective too is different as I had gone in a group of 75 people(organised by the company I work for).
The place is simply beautiful! Its a huge resort spanning over acres. There is a lot of greenry all around. The place looks like a smaller version of Aamby Valley(for those of you have been there). There are golf carts to move within it as it is farely spread out. There is a small putting ground(for golf lovers), games and facilities including like carrom, T.T.(free), billiards, swimming(2 nos.), massages, bicycles on hire(chargeable). There are birds like turkeys(rarely seen in India) and hens moving all around the place. Must say that at times the turkeys get so annoying tht you feel like enjoying them as an easter delicacy.
Rooms:
There are small bunglows(duplex) in the resort having 2-3 rooms each. The duplex has a large living rooms, balcony and rooms are decently sized. TV(14 inches in some rooms), Tea, coffee is provided in the room free of cost. These bunglows are surrounded by greenery. The decor is nice and rooms are comfortable.
Food:
There is one restaurant next to the reception. Food is nice(particularly the mutton biryani) but nothing exceptional.
Service:*
The service is decent, with the staff being very responsive to whatever you require. Did not really experience room service since we used to be out of the room all the time, so cannot really comment on that.
Proximity to Beach: (Very important)
Prakruti has its own beach. Although the only negative is that it is situated on the other side of the road where the beach is. So going to the beach means walking about 300 metres. But since it is private, it is very clean. There is beach volleyball, and cricket equipment provided by the resort(one must play!). There is one small vendor for water and cold drinks right on the beach for quenching your thirst after having a good session of beach sports.
Prices:
Card rates for rooms are around Rs.6, 500 per room per day but I'm sure its negotiable. Bicycles can be hired for Rs.50 per hour.
Over all I would say that I'm sure it is the best resorts in that area. The overall experience was fabulous. It is advised to go there is a group to have real fun.
