The location of this movie theatre is the on of the reason that people go to this theatre. This is one of the Kolkata's oldest movie hall. But sadly the ambience of this theatre is not that much to talk about. the screen size is very small, they claim that they give dolby sound effects but in reality the sound is pretty ordinary. This hall is located near Sealdah station and just opposite of the N.R.S Hospital. People in old days used to go to this theatre to see their favourite bengali movies but now a days they show hindi movies also. The price of the ticket is also very cheap but the issue is not the price but the quality it offers to the cinema lovers. I have friend who live near this hall and one day we planned to watch a bengali detective movie in this hall before that I had no experience about this theatre. From outside it does not look great and my friends also warned not to build any high expectations. This is an air conditioned hall but the screen size is very small and the sound was not that much clear. The chairs are not comfortable at all uff man you have to sit there for 1- 1:30 hrs and you will definitely get some feeling of pain in your legs because there are not enough space to spread your legs little bit. I understand that in this price range you can not ask many things but I know many budget category cinema halls who provide such things. Picture quality is so so but you can watch it without any issues. But I do not recommend this hall to anyone. it will just ruin your movie watching experience though the ticket prices are pretty low but I will suggest you just ignore this hall it is not up to the mark. We also bought two bucket popcorns and it costs us around rs 50 for each and the quality of that popcorn was also very average. My final verdict is do not waste your money here there are better places where you can go and enjoy your time with your friends and family. We chose this hall because it was a sudden plan and this hall was the closet to our workplace but I now completely regret about that decision. For ambience I will give it 4/10, for picture & sound 3/10 and for ticket price 8.5/10. May be it is situated in very prime location from where you can access many place but guys believe me this hall does not desrve our money.
