We visited Poonch during our Kashmir Visit in early 2014. We stayed at Vivanta by Taj.
Poonch is called as mini Kashmir and is a remote district of Jammu and Kashmir. It is bound by LOC on three sides. The place is named after the wife of Mughal Queen where she used to take bath and relax during her visits to Kashmir. There is a waterfall and a mirror is fixed besides that where she would get dressed. The remaining of the mirror is still there.
We visited Noor-e-chamb waterfall which is named after Noor Jahan and Nandishool falls. Then we move towards Poonch Fort. We haven't seen such a wonderful place in my lifetime. Its the fantastic place I have ever seen in India. I just loved the place very much, the carvings of the fort was superb. Poonch Fort is great. It is the best place in Jammu and Kashmir.
