I visited ponnusamy hotel situated at rahat plaza at Vadapalani on 29-6-08 along with my family members. we went there to have lunch and we have reserved for the seats in advance
Location, Ambience and Decor: the hotel is situated at vadapalani and inside a commercial complex. parking is horrible and you have to be lucky to find a place for your car. the plaza is not fully airconditioned you will feel the heat once you have entered it. when you move up to the first floor you can see people waiting to enter the premises as if something is given at discounted price. since we have reserved the seats we were offered our seats. the ventilation inside is not so good. the seats and cushion covers are horrible and at someplaces it is sticky. the light is not bright which goes well for the unwashed cushions. the wash area is very badly maintained and it doesnt even have the basic tissue paper to dry hands.
customer service: the customer service is ok. and may be good if the crowd is less. since it is crowed very much on that sunday we have not got our due response
food and presentation: the food and presentation is the only thing which were kept upto the mark. all non-veg items are good. the taste carries full mark but the presentation is only average when compared to other restaurant.
value for money: after completing our lunch we got up from our seats and we found 6 persons coming to occupy our seats. once we came out of the exit we found still a lot of people waiting and the time is almost 14.30 hrs. one restless customer shouting to the manager that he had come to have lunch only today and not tomorrow. the only consulation we had is the food is good
