Delhi-Jaipur :- 265 km
Would like to share my experience of Jaipur Trip. We left Delhi at 7:30 am. After 40 minutes of drive we stopped at Mcdonalts Manesar from 8:10 am -8:30 am, we reached Jaipur at 12:15 pm and it took us 30minutes to search our Hotel Genesis. At 12:45 pm we stepped in at Hotel Genesis, however would like to clarify here that Hotel Genesis is not a Hotel however it is a 13 story apartment out of which some floors have been taken over by Hotel Genesis. Reception area was good, from there service boy took us to our room which was at First floor, we paid 2400 rs for the room which was booked through MakemyTrip however it was not worth paying 2400rs for that room.
About Hotel Genesis:-(It is an Apartment and not a Hotel)
G-2, Kanak Vrindavan, Near Kanakpura Railway Station,
Sirsi Road, Jaipur.
Doors of the room were worst then the doors which we find in 700rs Hotel, washroom again was not upto the mark, bedroom walls had whitewash on it which again was dirty, next to bedroom there was a kitchen, the way we have in apartments which was not furnished. This was the third Trip I booked through MakemyTrip, I was under impression that MakemyTrip recommends best packages but MakemyTrip proved it wrong this time, I can't even imagine that I booked a Suite however MakemyTrip failed to give me even well furnished room.
About Services at Hotel Genesis:-
We ordered the food as it was 1:10pm along with which we called reception and asked to book cab for us, we were told cab would reach in 1 hour. Finally, food came and as expected the food was beyond pathethic, Chicken had smell in it, Egg Biryani Eggs were not fresh, it seems as if they were boiled 1 day before, chappatis were not cooked properly, Tea did not have any taste in it, and I doubt if the milk was used in preparing it. Anyways we had Tea and some portion of chapatis with gravy. We called room service to clean the room, not to talk about cleaning the table noone turned up to take the service tray back, it was 2:45pm we again called reception to confirm the status of cab, again the answer was in 10 minutes cab will come, this way after lingering around finally cab came at 4:10pm, 2 hours late from the time promised. Still the table has not been cleaned as noone turned up. Anyways we came down to board the cab, again the cab was not the same which we booked, we booked Indigo AC however the cab which came was Indica NonAc, 20 minutes wasted in the arguments after which finally we got IndicaAC and due to shortage of time we were unable to do sightseing and went only to Choki Dhanee.
Experience at Choki Dhanee
With 20minutes of drive from Main Jaipur city we reached Choki Dhanee. All day frustration vanish when we entered Choki Dhanee as the Culture and Environment of Choki dhanee was superv. Timings of Choki Dhaani - 6:30pm-10:30pm, Main Attraction - Rajasthanee Culture, food, different shows like magician show, katputli show, horse, camel and bullock riding, games, boating, Rajasthanee Dance, Huts with Rajasthanee women preparing food in it and u can sit next to them and have it, Palmist reader, Maalish wala, Get to know your future from Parot and many more.
Back to Hotel Genesis :-
We came back at 10:30 pm, still the room was untidy and the Service Tray was lying on table, I called reception and asked them to get the table cleaned, after 30 minutes service boy came and just took the service tray away and he never bothered to clean the table. Table is still dirty. Next morning I called reception and gave the feedback to Abhijeet the Manager of Hotel Genesis and asked him to get the Table clean atleast, still no go, we had breakfast at 12:30 pm, we ordered Toast and Tea which was good, we checkout from Hotel Genesis and still the table has not been cleaned.
To Conclude :-
I would say MakemyTrip has got a big name and fame in the market and people trust them with blind eyes, same was done by me, I booked Suite Room however I got a Room which was not well furnished and above that the food was pathetic and the management of the Hotel Genesis was worst management I have ever seen. I dont even have a single point to appreciate them, moreover Genesis is not a Hotel it is just an Apartment. Over here I have lost my Trust which I had on MakemyTrip and as a Member my suggestion to everyone just dont book your further Hotels or Trips without reading reviews of the Hotel and just dont trust MakemyTrip blindly, they are not right always. Because of MakemyTrip my 2 days Trip got Spoiled as I did not get my choice Room and Food.
Sightseing of Jaipur on Private Car :-
Next day we went for Sightseeing nothing much which I have here to mention, as I did not find anything really food, same traffic on jaipur roads as we find it on Delhi Roads, same market. Birla Mandir, Jantar Mantar, HawaMahal, Jalmahal, Jaifort. I liked only Jalmahal and Jaifort.
Feedback for MakemyTrip :-
1 Dissatisfied customer will share his experience with 100 others however 1 satisfied customer might not share his experience with even 10 others. It is difficult to gain name in the market however difficult to sustain the same reputation in the market forever. For MakemyTrip it could be 1 Dissatisfied customer but for customer it would be a Memorable Trip which customer would have been planning for so many months, which got spoiled because of wrong information updated on websites.
