I have had mixed experiences with online shopping. Some good some bad. I recently bought a cd from indiatimes.com.When the cd arrived I found that what I had paid for it was quite a bit above the mrp printed on it.
When I mailed them the gave me a very vauge reply. On the other hand I was able to buy from sify a item I really wanted but had no chance finding in the town I live. I have shopped on several sites and find some common elements which I am going to share.
None of them take real responsibility for what they sell ,unless they are company sites like sony .co.in, the rest are more like hawkers. So here is what I suggest:
Buy only branded non serviceable items unless you are buying from company sites.
Buy only what you cannot get in your town or items that are avaliable at a discount.
3.Remember you are more likely to get a better choice at your local store unless you live in a really small town.
4.Avoid using your credit/debit card. HDFC bank has a super product called netsafe foe online use .Try it.
- Beware of bazee.Again buy only brands you trust.REmember bazee does not guarantee the seller.
