AN UPDATE - THE NAME IS CHANGED TO RED INDIAN SIZZLERS
Hi you veggie lovers, check out this place in Kandivali. I definitely recommend this one.
I went here recently for lunch. There were many of us (10) and the service was very attentive and helpful.
Food: You get a great variety of vegetarian food (mexican, italian and continental) here. The food was very tasty and quite authentic.
We tried the sizzlers (excellent, try ''heart of fire'' if you like spicy and ''cheesy spaghetti'' if you like it bland) and the baked potato dishes (the mexican bean one was not very good, but the cheese garlic one was yummy).
But they also have pizzas, mexican stuff like tacos, enchiladas etc. and italian pasta. Great variety !
They have the usual cool drinks. We had some good iced tea.
They do have a wide selection of desserts but I would definitely recommend the brownie sizzler (with icecream). It's yum. It comes on a hot plate with chocolate sauce, a brownie and vanilla ice cream on top. Don't miss this.
Good portion sizes too. If you have medium appetites, 2 people can share one sizzler. However, I would also advise a side dish, like baked potato or enchilada to go with the sizzler. Also, dont forget dessert :) I have a special part of my stomach for this.
Ambience: The place has quite a good ambience with a modern look. Very comfortable too. I would say that you can easily take your family or even go for a date there. Quite impressive.
Parking: Parking is available outside.
Location: Situated near Poisar Kandivali, on S.V. Road. If you are coming from Borivali along S. V. Road, the place is on your left, opposite the mosque.
The place is not very kid-friendly. Does not have the usual electronic toys outside, but the place is spacious and the kids can move about a bit, if they feel so.
All in all, to summarise, its a must-visit if you live in the Goregaon to Dahisar area. More or less like Pop Tates, but only-veg.
