Yeah yeah Pizza hut, food is good service is good yada yada yada. Whatever man!

The whole place stinks with stereotypes, the people trying to be too nice (and you can see that are trying, because that's all they do, it hardly shows in the product). And it's so NOT INDIAN, it's typical McDonald's wannabe customer service! Am sure these kids are put in to rigorous training before they hit the floor. They sure teach them to be ''nice and courteous'' which they do by showing their teeth, but poor people don't have good products to back their teeth!

You get combos, they serve cola in a glass, and that is poured from a jug, which again is filled from a pet bottle(1 or 2 litres) that isn't refrigerated. But the cola has to be cool(literally), so what do they do? they drop half melted ice cubes (I say half melted because all ice cubes don't have same negative temperature, some are colder and these ones are ready to become water already!).

What is the final product that you get? Rasna-Cola with less sugar. Why? all the gas(it's a carbonated drink) is released because of transferring it from one container to another container a million times! and these ice cubes don't do much but dilute the drink. You call the guy(I had to raise my hand repeatedly, like some Italian gangster to get his attention, I believe I lost 2 kilos in the process) complain about it, he says ''I'll take care of it sir'' with an ''eeeeee'' smile, we know you cannot you bozo, because you don't have a freaking coke vending machine! So what does he do? brings another glass of the same Rasna-drink!

Fine forget about it, then comes the most interesting part. Before implementation of VAT(Value added tax) in India, we hardly paid any tax above the actual price quoted in the menu. So we eat stuff worth Rs.430 (by worth I mean what it sums up to), and this guy brings a bill which says ''Total= 494''. And I go ''What in the world..?''.

That comes close to 15% in tax, and all they have is a tiny little * to indicate that all the food items are taxed. My problem is, we all know it's taxed, but why don't you mention it's 15%? and not what we used to pay. Either they should have reduced the price of the food items after the implementation of VAT or simply included tax with the existing price Or at least inform the customers that the Tax is a mighty 15% and not 2 or 3% that we were paying before.

I had enough cash, a couple of credit cards, so am safe. Think about this, 5 school boys get together, each has Rs.100, they all buy/eat food worth Rs.490, balance Rs.10 they plan to tip. Then comes the bill with Rs.570 on it, what happens now? ''The most embarrassing moment of my life'' in their year books!

So we fill in a 'suggestions' form, and also ask the manager to do something about it. He says ''we'll definitely look in to it sir''. We made another visit(just to know if anything has changed) to a different branch this time, Nope! it's still the same, the same little *and warm rasna!

Disclaimer: This is how things were till I left India a month ago, I have no reason to believe they would have changed anything yet. And a few branches might have Cola vending machines hence they might serve better cola. This * tax problem is with all big restaurants, so watch out!

Food served in these big food chains are supposed to have a standard(after all, you pay so much), so I can't praise if they serve good food(and they don't do it all the time). It's such a simple dish, they should try hard to make a pizza taste horrible (by using cheap bread and rotten onion, like they do in local bakeries). And even a horrible dish would taste good if they serve good ketchup(which they buy outside, so they can't be praised for not serving home made good for nothing ketchup).

If you are someone who loves to pampered wherever you go ''what would like to have this evening, ma'am :D eeeeee'', you would sure like this place. Not my kind, I like ''Cut the cra'p, get my food and make it good!''.
