Yesterday, I happened to order my family dinner from my local Pizza Corner @ Tambaram East. 1 word - it was horrible from start to end. The shop is located just a few hundred meters from my home, but still they managed to bring it what could be called just next to cold. I expected to have some hot stuff on a cool night, but it turned out to be real flop show.
We had ordered 2 medium size pizzas, 1 cheese garlic bread and a Hawain veg salad, the total bill amount was over 1000, mind it, but it was HARDLY WORTH it. The appetizer - cheese garlic bread was the WORST garlic bread, I have tasted. It was half baked, not to mention that it tasted nothing like cheese garlic bread. I immediately called the vendor to complain on it.
The person on the other end just said sorry, and hanged up. What's the point - I paid more than 100 bucks just for the garlic bread, and another additional 20 for the dips, which was a total dampener, and spoiled my appetite.
Next coming to the pizza - it was another sombre. It seems like everything was done in haste. It was half cooked. I had ordered a paneer malai tikka pizza, wherein the raw paneer tasted better than what was supposed to be cooked paneer tikka on the pizza. The worst was - the entire pizza base was soggy - and the veggies on the veg extravaganza pizza were all half cooked, or even raw in some cases.
The only exception was the salad, which was better among the worst.
Honestly, pizza corner has lost its touch. I swore to myself, I will never ever step into pizza corner on any day. Total waste of over 1000 bucks for 3 in my family. I would have rather gone to a nice desi restaurant, which would served a better dinner for me.
