It all started with a low budget film staring vin diesel called pitch black.

Little did the writer; director and the producer knew that it would become a major success and have legions of fan following and create a cult of fans like the star trek series did.

Pitch black acclaimed the cult status and main lead character riddick (Vin diesel) become as big as the Hannibal character

The story revolves around a space ship that has passengers and also has a special passenger a criminal called ?riddick?. As the story goes on the ship meets with an accident and crash-lands to an unknown planet.

As the survivors try to find the battery for ship to run again they find out the planet is something of a mystery. But the mystery is about to unfold it self. The daylight turns into darkness and remains that way for a long time. The survivors realize its pitch black now. And to make things worse well planet has these aliens ?.. Well who love killing humanoids?

Now its pitch black and only one man can save them the criminal riddick ??why you may ask??? well he can see in the dark!!! (Special eyes)

And story revolves around how riddick saves the day and his struggle for good and evil

And then when every thing is said and done comes the much awaited the sequel to pitch black

According to the producer and director they said the ?first movie created a character riddick, which now has become a bigger brand name then the pitch black movie so we had to name the movie on riddick?

Well yes riddick returns this time to take on the leader of the underverse!!

What the hell is underverse well it?s the opposite of universe

Well in the movie there is race that wants the entire universe to join them their motto is

?Convert or die?

This race is headed by a man who is half human and half something else, it is said only a furian (another race) can kill him ???? and you know what ?. The furian is our hero riddick.

And movie revolves around riddick trying to save the universe again ?? and his natural struggle for good and evil

Look the two movies are quiet contrasting

Pitch black is low budget, dark movie but with great story line

Chronicles of riddick is big budget, brilliant special effects and great cine photography and yes-great story line.

All sci-fi fans it?s a must watch. And all u non sci-fi fans watch the movie to see the struggle of good and evil within riddick?? it will make you think!!
