It takes off from where it left and it keeps you riveted for 150 more minutes and it does not end there. You have to wait for another day to reach World’s end.

Is it the Flying Dutchman or the Dead Man’s chest that takes you into another world of Fantasy, Action, Humour, Adventure and whatever it is-It is sheer mind Boggling entertainment.

Well, It is the Pirates, who never die and keep coming back at each other and prove that Piracy for all times is not a crime.( I take back my words from My Pirates of Caribbean-Part 1 rev and also take back my brain and endure the Heart chilling action of Walt Disney). Pirates because there are Three Pirates in action in Jack Sparrow( Johnny Depp)-Captain-Black Pearl, Davey Jones(Bill Nighy) –Captain of the Ghostly ship, the Flying Dutchman & Will Turner(Orlando Bloom)-The Pirate in love who finds his Father Bootstrap Bill(Stellan Skarsgard), who comes out with a cameo.

Will Turner is to be married with Elizabeth Swann(Keira Knightley) when the crooked new Captain Beckett for the love to conquer  seas imprisons the two and makes a barter with Will Turner to bring the Magic compass and Jack Sparrow to free them. The motive is the Heart of the Dead Man.

In the meantime, Jack Sparrow has a debt to return in the form of soul to Davey Jones, the Captain of Flying Dutchman. The soul(Heart) is in Dead man’s chest for which the key and the compass are needed to find and retrieve.

The misadventure begins with Turner finding Jack in the Cannibal Island with run on the mill scenes of Boney Cage escapade and Jack bequeathing a DOG for GOD to the Cannibals before setting sail.

Verbinski’s(Director) brain cracks and screws here and he trades more action and special effects over Verbatim which was also the trademark of the First Pirate movie. He also twists too many sub tales in the Tale by bringing Commodore Norrington. The three way sword fight in the island which culminates on ever rolling free will-mill until it finds the sea reflects a typical Disnedventure on Walt. He keeps adding more twists and turns, a kind a cannonball run on Sea which failed to rise as much trigger as the Canons from Black Pearl. Rather it required a Giant Beast under the sea in “The Kraken” which got the taste of rum when Jack had little of his rumblings in this episode.

All the special effects and crocheting of threads was because the Movie has been retrofit between the First and the last of the Trilogies adding more confusion and cinematic entertainment on top of depth and storyline. However the movie delivers in what Disney is best at –non stop entertainment in the form of twists and turns, the chase sequences, the Boney Cagey, the Free wheelie or even the tentacled Beast of the Tentacled master(Davey Jones) who plays piano with his smudgy Tentacles.

The Elements: The Surprises of Part 1 were missing in plenty and the suspense was never there as well as the detail to chill out those skeleton shots of Blood thirsty Pirates.

The Cast:*

Johnny Depp is reduced to just another Pirate, ‘cause the script and humorous dialogues was just missing. Bill Nighy steels the screen with his barnacles and wry action accompanied by a crosshead. The gorgeous Knightley becomes femme fatal, Orlando blooms only in parts, Arenberg and Mackenzie as Pintel and Raghetti had lot more flesh in their skeletal roles of Part 1, but not humour.

The Technical Side

*More visual effects simply do not mean more entertainment as we saw in JP trilogies and the detail of Black Pearl was sorely missed. The Editing on the flip side was quite edgy and neat. Too much sound so to say which killed the DTS effect. The chill out of the First scene or the unraveling of Black pearl in Part 1 had no sound before the ensuing danger which made all the difference.

Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio have been totally underutilized to add the funny punch line to the script which in essence has killed my attempt to write humorous rev as first one.

Few standouts are** –

Jack Sparrow:- You want you to find this. Because the finding of this finds you incapacitorilly finding and or locating in your discovering the detecting of a way to save your dolly belle, ol what's her face.

Beckett:- loyalty is no longer the currency of the realm as your father believes, I'm afraid currency is the currency of the realm

Ragetti:-Since we're not immortal no more. We gotta take care of our immortal souls.

Pintel:-He couldn't literally put his heart in a chest, Could he?

A Man to Gibbs in Tortuga:-My wife ran off with my dog. And I'm drunk for a month. And I don't give a rat's if I live or die.

Jack Sparrow hiring Norrington

Who was missing in the movie most?

–Captain Barbossa(Geoffrey Rush) who comes back for his ship in the last scene. He should definitely make up for his lack of presence in the **“Pirates of the Caribbean-III”-At The world’s end

We have seen in other trilogies where the second part tries to fill between the other two(The Twin Towers-Lord of The Rings) .The same applies to the Dead Man’s Chest-a part of the whole piracy(or conspiracy) to slouch millions from film goers. In the end, you only find dirt and no Heart(in the hands of Norrington) in the movie

Look forward to an enthralling end to the Pirates-At The World’ end. This rev is a continuation of my rev on “The Curse of Black Pearl-POTC-1” –For Once Piracy is not Crime https://mouthshut.com/review/Pirates_of_the_Caribbean-106366-1.html

Thanks for reading.
