Here I am. Sitting, looking around, eating, sleeping, TRYING to watch one of those hindi serials that my mom is just so in love with, listening to a song over and over again. It drives me crazy to be doing nothing when i'm on a vacation which should be fun and full of excitement, fun and adventure. Trust me, the disease called "boredom" really brings a bad effect on you when you know you have it. But then.

Angshu: Hey pirates 3 has come out yaa.wanna go see it tonight?

Anusha: I dont care dude. Just get me out of the house. I'm DYING.

So we went. I have to admit, even after us going to watch the movie on the second week after it came out, the theatre was pretty full. That kinda kept my hopes up of not falling asleep or doing anything else stupid like I always do. We took a seat and there I was with my popcorn and coke. We began to watch. I'll have to say that by watching it for 10 seconds I knew I was up for a real on screen adventure.

Directed by:~Gore Verbinski~

Cast: Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom, Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, Bill Nighy, Tom Hollander, Naomie Harris~

Captain Barbossa who has returned from the dead has invited Elizabeth and Will Turner to help him rescue Captain Jack Sparrow from Davy Jones Locker. Before this is done they even ask the Pirate Lord of Singapore, Sao Feng for navigational charts which could lead them to the locker. Jack is from there, finally rescued. At the same time, Lord Cutler Beckett has taken control of Davy Jones heart where he has formed some sort of an alliance to make all the pirates of the world vanish from the earth. A meeting is called where all the pirates from each corner of the earth have attended. It is then decided that Calypso, the lover of Davy Jones must be released in expectation for her to help them fight against Davy Jones, Lord Cutler Beckett, the Dutchman and consiquentely including the whole of the East India Trading Company. However, will Calypso help them? If not, what are they to do then? Watch to find out. You can even bring me along to watch it with you. Don't worry. I'm not a blabber mouth like my sister:).

To be a viewer of the other two pirates series, this wasnt as great as I expected it to go. Loads of scenes that may have not needed to be there. Scenes that are common enough to be there. Could have been shortened because comparing it to the other two series, it was definitely longer.

However, the positive parts of the movie can also be observed. The humor is usually one of the best trademarks of the series which gives it an interesting effert rather than to have just adventure and action with these two ships just throwing canon balls at each other. There are many different scenes which stand out as really intense and exciting as well. Such as how Jack Sparrow makes his big entry with the Black Pearl coming down onto the shore from the sand. The meeting of the Pirate Lords is also quite hilarious and worth mentioning. Even the conversation between Calypso and Davy Jones really brings out a different side to the movie.

I have to say, Johnny Depp as a remarkable actor has fitted into his character extremely well and seems to portray the character of a spontaneous pirate. He is the main reason that makes the humor and action in the film something out of nothing. I say a brilliant job done on this one. Secondly, the blacksmith must be focused on. Orlando Bloom(droool) as I would say may not have been assigned as to bring out some of the humor. However, his main x-factor in the film is the action. Bringing in a wonderful actress, Keira Knightley has seriously proved a lot in this role. From the romance scenes, to the action scenes including the sword fights. It was quite unexpected but made a good impact to the climax. Bringing in the important character of Davy Jones, I say Bill Nighy has done a brilliant job. The expressions, actions, dialogues are all worth to observe.

One of my favorites however, have to be the character of Geoffrey Rush. The main reason why I just love this character is for the humor. Jack Davenport was also good in his role of Norrington. Lee Arenberg and Mackenzie Crook as Pintel and Ragetti were brilliant! Stellan Skarsgard had got me spooked with his appearance as "Bootstrap" Bill Turner. Tom Hollander as Lord Cutler Beckett seemd to bring out the seriousness in his performance which was expected as well. Naomie Harris really had it going well with her accent, posture and expression which effected her appearance. Lastly, Jonathan Pryce has maintained his act as the father of Elizabeth Swann well.

I must say that it could have been better but at the same time you do get the feeling of a brilliant performance in everything from every corner of the film. The dialogues are hilarious and interesting to get into.  The direction of the film really has payed off. I love the action, especially the sword fight between Jack and Davy Jones. The music was unique and it fit in well with the different scenes. To sum it all up, the movie may not be as great as the previous ones. But it's worth the watch except for the fact that it is too long. Or you could just watch it because of Johnny Depp;).
