I am too a music freek and enjoy good music. Unlike many youngsters I do not listem to Hard Rock. However, do enjoy loud music when the beats go rumbling. This player has a blue display. If you have a black car dashboard it will merge in right and give you a very subtle look . It has a glossy black finish. Wipe it with a soft cloth or you may end up with scratches on the console. This console does not have detachable control panel for safety but its all worth it when the music falls on your ears.
This is one unit which you can buy at a resonably good cost for wonderful music experience. However, just having a good console does not mean anything if you don’t have good speakers to take the challenge. I personally use JBL which have paper cones and are good for ears. You can do your research on the JBL speaker let me tell you something about this wonderful 2Din Pioneer console.
Like all other players it plays music and real good. Plays Audio Cds even rewritables , has USB and Aux input ( I Pod ) Bluetooth optional.
In this case the unit has a Big joystick which you can use to control most of the major functions. For example : Click on " List " and then rotate the joystick ( Both ways ) to scroll through your songs and folders list with out playing them. Press it in the center to enter the folder or play the song. Press right or left to change the songs. Up and down to change folders directly with out scrolling. If you keep the joystick pressed to the right or left you can forward and reverse the song.
If you are driving and you feel that the blue display is hurting your eyes you can turn it off by simply pressing the " DSP---Clock " button for 2 seconds and then when you touch any button or rotate the joystick it glows back on till you leave it Ideal for it to turn off. If you wish to turn it back up on press the display back for 2 seconds.
It has 4 big buttons on the side of the Joystick. List, EQ, Source and Band.
LIST : - Press the list button to scroll through the songs and the folders list on your CD, USB or the I pod.
EQ :- Here you have preset equalizer settings. Custom 1 : ( Has more of bass effect low of vocal ) Custom 2 : ( Has more of Vocal and less of Bass effect ) Powerful : ( Which enhances the music totally ) S Bass : Which give you the beats ( Bass effect you would like to have ) You can boost the pass effect even more through the Advance Audio Settings. Flat : ( It does not change the music using any of the EQ settings, you can manually adjust the EQ curves. Then it has the normal Vocal and the natural.

CD : - This player plays WMA, MP3 and (WAV file) Audio Cds. Re-writables work great.
USB :- It can play pendrives and even portable usb hard drives upto 2 Gb. Format support :- WMA, MP3, AAC and WAV file playback.

BRAND : - Select Tunner as source first then Press BAND button is to use the pre-set FM or AM radio stations. You can set FM1 , FM2, FM3 and AM bands. Then can be individually tunned or automatically by using the joystick .
You can mute the audio by pressing the small mute button and the song keeps playing in the background. However, the wireless remote has a "Pause" button.
It has " Advance Sounds Retriever " which enables you to get enhanced sound quality from a pirated or a scratched CD. Which really works good. It can be set in two mode for better reception.
In Ideal conditions you can have a digital clock and calender display. This player does not skip songs or throw out pirated cds like you may eperience in Sony. I have this console working with JBL speaker and it works wonders. JBL 200W with 70 rms each on the rare speakers and the normal 120w speaker in front. If you wish to use a Subwoofer this player has an additional plug in.
However, I personally feel its not needed with above compatibility. Ya, if you wish to have a blast for other or open air parties with your car hood open you need to use a amplifier with JBL 400W rare speaker 100rms. Note: You always hear music a surround sound effect. So do not test individual speaker by adjusting the balance. If you connect a subwoofer you can adjust the settings from the Advance audio settings by accessing the settings through joystick.
Out out frequency can be set provided your speaker can take the challenge. If you are not sure about it then simply use Pre-set Audio settings Loudness to ( Low , Mid or High ) The player has a memory saving mode where it plays the song where you left when you step in next time.
This is an Ideal player for all music lower at a resonable cost. I got it for 8, 500/- in pune with bill and warranty. Speakers extra. Not fitting charges. MRP and what most of the dealers quoted me was 13, 500/- Like you all know having just a good console would do no good. You need good speakers as well. To test the speakers power up the console and with out playing any song turn the volume to max. It should give you no humming sound. However, with the " " Advance Sound Retriever " in this player you can listen to every instrument played in the background or a song crisp and clear even at low volume.
