The movie starts with a scenario which is the burning issue of current Indian semi-modernized society. The story, no doubt, could not be written in any way differently or better.
But, establishing a better coordination among the different activities happening throughout the movie, is where the movie has failed entirely.
Audience, which comes from that part of the society which is not a movie aficionado somewhere struggled in understanding the tone of the movie. With that, I am also referring to myself, as I had to struggle there a bit.
Also, the screenplay could have been way better.
The movie, though, was covering a depressing issue, could have been kept in-line with the reason most people come to watch a movie i.e. entertainment. Entertainment is another part the movie was lacking at.
A movie, which is brainchild of a Director as thespian as Shoojit Sircar, brought along many expectations. But, certainly fell on their face when Pink hit the theaters.
My takeaway on PINK is: Movie has weak screenplay, cast has not been played out to their best, movie gets too depressing i.e. lacks entertainment & storyline gets too dispersed to be understood evenly.
