Please avoid purchasing any 2 wheeler from this dealer – especially at Bhandup and unassumingly at Chembur too. Pilot Honda is one of the worst and pathetic 2 wheeler dealer I have ever come across since all my prior motorbike purchasing experiences.
Pilot Honda is not transparent and very unclear with their proceedings. I have been suffering a lot of delays from their side. They lie and keep buying time and give false assurances.
The sales men are indifferent and impolite. Behave over confident and simply do not care about the customer at all. No queries are answered properly and mainly no commitment to time or keeping promises.
I have purchased a bike and was promised delivery in 7 days post booking – 10 days with registration. It was booked on 8th April, 2016 with a booking amount of 1000/-. Within the next few days the entire amount was paid along with the necessary documents with the hope of getting it in 7 days
Little did I know that this is just a farce? Now always the bike should be handed over with complete registration from the RTO – however this is the first dealer who wants to simply hand over the bike without the necessary paper work and on temporary registration without any commitment to the actual registration proceedings. Pilot Honda is ill equipped as far as RTO registration are concerned and come up with dishonest stories at their convenience.
To my astonishment despite waiting for 2 weeks as against the promised 7 days I was handed over a bike which was manufactured in Dec, 2015. The dealer was not transparent about this dealing and if he gave this old stock then the registration process could be sped up. They are only interested in buying time and aren’t responsible after receiving full payment. I’ve had the worst delivery experience. It felt like a second hand bike.
Not only was I given an old stock – the bike had scratches on the tank, headlight assembly, saree guard and exhaust. All plastics were already removed; it felt old and second hand. Accessories were installed that were old and scratched and charged on things that I didn’t even want. A bike cover was given which isn’t even of the said bike. They did not even install the number plates to write the temporary number. They simply stuck a sticker which came off in no time. Yet they want to charge on everything beforehand.
On enquiring about the so called ‘allotted’ bike that was in the stockyard and transit - whether this indeed was the display vehicle the salesman Mr. Yogesh coolly replies – ‘Yes this is the display vehicle – so no unnecessary waiting for bike from stockyard’. I really felt like smacking him.
The bike felt old and killed the joy of riding a new bike. Obviously they must have used it with the odometer disconnected. It has been 1 month since booking and 2 weeks since taking delivery of the bike – the dealer has not given any assurance of registration and keeps giving multiple excuses. I do not have any documents apart from the invoice and hence it is difficult to ply on the roads legally.
The dealer has caused a lot of mental harassment, given false assurances and hopes and highly dishonest and I would not recommend Pilot Honda at all. Till date despite all follows ups – there is no commitment as to when the bike will be registered. They reject calls and show high handed behaviour as if they are doing us a favour.
The staffs are ill equipped to answer our queries. And this is a perfect recipe for the worst purchasing experience.
And my advice is to buy from here at your own risk. They will take your money and take you for a ride. I for one will never take my new bike to service at the place otherwise all the mental agony will start over again. The bike still lies unregistered and would advice new customers to refuse taking a bike without complete registration as they simply don’t care post delivery. The ball is in their court and all my legal documents wrt to registration of the bike are still with them.
Pilot Honda is a harassing, cheat and dishonest dealer. They should shut shop and stop fleecing customers.
