Phuket situated in Southern part of Thailand is a beautiful place and a major tourist attraction. It can be reached from Bangkok by local flights or via bus. I had visited phuket last December. I had opted a bus from bangkok. The journey is a 12 hour one yet very comfortable. It is a cheap way of communication and the service and scenic beauty is worth admiring. A luxury Volvo 32 seater would cost yu around Rs. 550. You can also take a flight it will cost you about 2500/- from Bangkok
Phuket is a diving paradise and a hapenning place. I had stayed up in Bamboo resort which was a mere 15 mins away from the beach. The resort was a three star accomodation and was private and very comfortable. The service was also amazing.
Now let me describe you places of interest. Phuket is a happenning place. The beaches are clean and very beautiful with an offering of several water sports. There are very good resturants and pubs along the Patong Beach. For those who do not like Thai food you can even find Indian food and guess what Mc Donalds is also there.
The other most interesting thing to do is to watch the show called FANTASIA.. It is the most amazing and unforgettable show that I have ever seen. I cannot describe you the show but believe me if you visit Phuket and you do not watch the show you will be missing a lot. Its a show with Thai culture mixed with latest technologies..
Apart from this you can do some adventure sports such as you can take a snorkelling tour or a sea canoeing tour. These are remarkable moments that you will never ever forget in your Life.
Now that you have come so far to phuket YOU SHOULD VISIT KOI PHI PHI commonly known as the Phi Phi Island. It is here that Leonardo De Caprio's BEACH was shot. From Phuket you can get a Ferry to PHI PHI. It takea about 3 hours to reach Phi Phi . You will be amazed by the crystal clear emerald water. Of all the places I have visited Phi PHI was the best one. It has the best marine life to offer you. You can take a divingcrash course out here. The visibility is good in Phi Phi so diving is very nice with such good marine life. You can take a diving crash course for Rs 5000 out here. Believe me Diving is an experience that will addict you. You can even buy a waterproof camera and click underwater photos.In Phi Phi you can even take a Shark Tour where you snorkel around and see a Shark pass by.. Places of Interest in PHi Phi was the famous Maya Beach wher "Beach " was Shot and also there are few places like Momkey Beach Viking's Cave etc.
