Robots in customer service, deaf management

The app simply doesn't work on my phone, primarily as it uses a JioFi network, where SIM card resides in the router. The app on such setup just crashes on startup.


I didn't have a problem that it didn't work. I would not have had a problem if they said it won't work with JioFi.


The problem is with a painful saga of waking these idiots up to try and take a note of the issue at least - which finally didn't happen.


PhonePe has recruited parrots if not robots to bombard you with meaningless answers tirelessly.


PhonePe has no slightest interest in listening to customer issue, leave alone solving it.


The escalation matrix they have given on their website is a joke. One escalation contact is sleeping, never responds to any mail, while the second email address itself is invalid and your mails would bounce.


As  such there is no control over what the morons in the level 1 support answer and they are free to play practical jokes on you.


My saga of customer support went like this:


I narrated the issue. In response they asked me to "update the app". I told them the issue is present with most up to date version. In response again "update the app". This went on for 3 rounds.


On the thread several times I tried to tell them to look as "Jio Fi" network as the factor as the issue is present only on this network. Also shared system logs with them several times and asked them to look at them.


The parroting resumed now asking for a "video" of the problem. I told them that the app doesn't start, it directly crashes, video won't tell you anything. At the most it would show my wallpaper. Instead look at the "JioFi" factor and the "system logs".


On every such reply the parrot kept repeating "share the video".


Finally I gave up and decided to write this review.


Any company that recruits parrots in customer service is bound to be doomed. It's just a matter of time.


PhonePe's bigger competitor paytm may have issues, but their customer service is at least not seen being a parrot and I have seen them attending to escalations well. With the present morons in the customer service PhonePe stands no chance to compete with paytm.
