A Laugh riot. Review on Phir Hera Pheri

Neeraj Vora began his advent in Bollywood with Khiladi 420 and later created Dhamaal with Priyadarshan at the box office as a writer. And now he is back with Phir Hera Pheri .I had great expectations from it. I don't know how much you awaited this movie, but it was on par for my expectations. Comapred to the recent movies that have been released like Chup Chup ke ,Fanaa ,Love Ke Chakkar Mein ,Ankahee ,Tathastu ,Tom Dick And Harry ,36 CHINA TOWN ,Gangster ,Darna Zaroori Hain ,Pyare Mohan etc..., this movie ranks at the top of the list.

It is an out and out comedy that is sure to keep you in splits - from the beginning till the end. Make sure you don't use your brain while watching the film and the chances are that you will enjoy the film thoroughly.

It is actually a remake of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels .At the end of the last film Raju (Akshay Kumar), Shyam (Suniel Shetty) and Baburao (Paresh Rawal) become crorepatis. What they do with the money is the story. While Babu Rao and Shyam have their own plans to use this money, Raju has a shortcut to become richer.

He bumped in with a chit fund company whose caretaker (Bipasha Basu) promises him to turn a billionaire overnight. But for this he needs a minimum of ten million rupees. Raju succeeds in influencing Babu Rao and Shyam and take their money. He takes some money from a small time goon (Rajpal Yadav) and the rest he collects by mortgaging their (joint) bungalow with a rich man.

But soon the three come to know that there is no good fortune waiting for them and they have been cheated.

A movie like this can have only two results. Either the plot completely falls on its face with the confusions amongst the characters resulting in a high degree of confusions for the audience to comprehend. Or the other way around, where the situations are knit together with such a tight grasp and pace kept so fast, that audience do not get a single minute to think about any logic behind the happenings. Fortunately Vora is very successful in making the latter result happen and that too in such a great manner that one continues to laugh long after the movie's screening is through.

Phir Hera Pheri is akin to a lip smacking delight. Because just like a big helping of hot chocolate fudge, it continues to taste better and better with every passing bite, and makes you long for more till the very end. Inspite of its long duration, a viewer doesn't loose his/her interest in the movie and keeps nourishing each and every moment of the fun.

Comedy is all about spontaneous humour. The actors, as a team, share a comfortable can-I-pull-your-leg chemistry. This ease shows in their performances. Akshay's good-humoured disposition is charming. He is obviously having fun and it shows on the screen. Paresh is excellent. His sequences with Akshay are sure to keep you in splits.Suniel is good though he doesn't get much scope.Rajpal's character will be liked by the masses. Bipasha is alright. Rimi is adequate.

Himesh's music is passable. No big deal. The interesting thing to note is that Vora knows exactly how to package an interesting story with superior performances. The film sure is a hit in every way.

Go watch it with your entire family. This is a laugh riot for everyone from 6-60 years !
