We bought a Philips water purifier a few months back since we were impressed with the look of the same. We decided to buy it inspite of it being more expensive than the other BIG brands. However a few days back the area near the water dispenser cracked by itself and came off. Now we see a few more cracks near the area and are concerned.
The product is still under warranty and we called their customer care number requesting them to send their technician to have a look and resolve the issue. However the word I have for their customer care team is "SHAMELESS". We called them and got our call logged with their customer care executive and he informed us that the technician would come down to our residence in the evening. We waited and the technician didn't turn up. After that we have called them several times and the same thing has happened on every occassion. Finally we got fed up and threated them that we shall go to the Consumer Court if they did not address our issue, even that has been to no avail. Yesterday we finally lost our cool and asked them to connect us to the Customer Care Team Lead who did not come on the call initially.
We called back and insisted that we speak to her and finally got through. She assured us that she would look into things and would call us back in 5 minutes. Its been more than a day and we are yet to receive her call. Also when we called their Pune HO after we lost hope, they too have just been guiding us to other people rather than helping out and addressing the issue! This was totally unexpected with a brand like Philips and we are repenting purchasing their water purifier. We would be more than glad to return it back to them and get a refund so that we can purchase a water purifier of another brand with better service.
