Of late we have started using CFL lamps instead of Fluorescent lamps in our home because they give almost the same amount of brightness but at a lesser cost. I bought Philips CFL lamps. Honesly, because I had no choice at these were the only ones available at my local store and the shopkeeper insisted that I buy these as he has kept based on his customers' preference.
They came with 1 year warranty from the shopkeeper himself. So if any lamp stops working, I won't have to go to the hassles of contacting the company. Who goes to the company for a light bulb anyway. So, About the lamps, Yes I am happy with the brightness and energy saving.
The work great on Inverters as compared to tubelights which flickr on Inverter power. At first the brighness is low but then it gradually increases to its maximum capacity. One 25 W lamp is enough in a room. One or two did get fused but the shopkeeper replaced without any fuss. So I am happy with the product. I have bought 10 pieces now for the entire house.
