Well, it is may not be 'the' best yet but certainly the best that I have owned yet & I have owned a lot of them both in India & USA. The fact that I got Ironing table for free with the press made the deal much better.

As the name suggests it works with steam the best. You can also sprinkle water with the press-knob(?) & make it more wet for clothes that are a little too wrinkled or are thick.

It has a wide range of settings for Temperature & covers all the clothes ranging from silk etc to Wool. (Common feature though). Although I would advise caution while/before putting your expensive clothes under the press instead of dry-cleaning! :-)

The weight of the press is just ideal not too heavy & not too light. My wife uses it & calls it a dream after using so many of them. The weight makes it sure that you don't have to make the contact for a long time & also light enough that you don't start complaining after you have done with just a pair! :-)

It works well without steam too but I do not advise it as it makes a lot easier & quicker with it.

The grip is almost ideal & I don't think they could have done it better. Maybe some huge/XXXL size American might complain about the gap to hold it but for average of maybe a XXL Indian it should be good enough! :) The gripping surface itself is matte making it easier to hold it.

The size of the heating area of the press is again optimum; making it convenient to use for larger items like Saaris/Kurtas etc. Also, it rests easily on its side when you need to adjust clothes on the board.

The price (Indian Rs 1650) although a little on higher side it worth & I call it a good value given the overall usefulness. We almost use it daily even in India where we have enough ''Dhobis'' available. (2Rs per piece for press! Today Rs45.25 ==> 1 USD)

Currently it is being offered with a free ironing board making the value factor even better. If you are shopping for a press this one deserves a close look.

Regards,

~Milind
